Since 1981, the place is best known for a Handicraft Fair, which is held annually in the month of February. The two-week event highlights the creative intellect residing in different parts of India. Talented weavers, painters, sculptors and craftsmen welcomes the time with great enthusiasm.

Surajkund Craft fair is organized by the Department of Tourism Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India in collaboration with Haryana Tourism, Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Commissioner Development. They festival ground turns colorful with a number of make-shift stalls, that exhibits arrays of hand loom and handicraft items. Stages for Natyashala(theater) workshops, seminar and quiz are also erected to make the fair a quality one.
